The City of Leavenworth is seeking one volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Leavenworth Planning Commission. Position No. 2 is currently available and will expire on April 1, 2023. This position may be available to someone living within the Urban Growth Area of Leavenworth.
The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council providing recommendations for long-term planning and code amendments on topics related to housing, transportation, shorelines, and more. The appointment is made by the Mayor for a four-year unexpired term.
The Planning Commission meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, reside or own property inside the city limits of Leavenworth or the urban growth area. Letters of interest may be submitted to:

All planning commission members shall be appointed by the mayor with confirmation by the city council. Members of the Leavenworth planning commission shall reside within the city limits of Leavenworth, except that up to two members may reside outside the city limits of Leavenworth, provided they reside or own property within the urban growth area as depicted by the Leavenworth comprehensive plan.
