Starting October 1, the Eightmile Lot (formerly Enchantments) will shift to validated parking during business hours.
- Validation is required for City Hall or Library visitors, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM
- Outside those hours, the lot is open to the public and Downtown Employee Permit holders.
- Weekend parking remains free (3 hours max).
- The lot (formerly Enchantments) has been renamed to Eightmile to avoid confusion with Enchantment Park.
- Parking remains free in designated ADA stalls with a valid disabled placard or plate.
- Stalls for EV vehicles are free to park while charging.
Why the change? High demand and low turnover in the lot were making it difficult for City Hall or Library visitors to find a parking spot. This shift ensures parking is available when you stop by to see us.
How validation works – two easy steps:
- Outside: Scan the QR code on the signs in the parking lot to start your parking session
- Inside: You have 15 minutes to enter the building and validate your parking session by scanning a second QR code at the front desk.
