ON BEHALF OF THE UPPER VALLEY PARK AND RECREATION SERVICE AREA (PRSA), THE CITY OF LEAVENWORTH IS ACCEPTING LETTERS OF INTEREST FOR AN OPEN POSITION ON THE UPPER VALLEY PRSA BOARD
LEAVENWORTH, WA, August 28, 2024 – On behalf of the Upper Valley Park and Recreation Service Area (PRSA), the City of Leavenworth is accepting letters of interest from individuals seeking to apply for the Chumstick Highway Represented Position on the PRSA Board, a volunteer advisory board to the Special Purpose District.
The PRSA is a voter-approved Special Purpose District (a legal entity separate from the City of Leavenworth) that was formed in 1997 with the primary purpose of funding the reconstruction and maintenance of the community pool. PRSA residents continue to support the majority of the pool’s maintenance and operational costs through a levy on property tax assessments.
Serving on the board requires the member of the open position to reside along the Chumstick Highway within the boundaries of the PRSA. The position will serve the remainder of 2024, which includes a scheduled meeting in November. Currently, the PRSA Board meets six (6) times a year with meetings occurring in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The Board will review submissions at the next Board meeting on Thursday, September 12, 2024. This position will be up for renewal by the Board in January 2025 for a four-year term ending December 2028.
Interested parties who meet the qualifications are invited to submit a letter of interest via email, mail, or in person by 4:00 p.m. on September 9, 2024. Letters of interest shall be submitted to:
