LETTERS OF INTEREST BEING ACCEPTED FOR OPEN POSITION ON THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
LEAVENWORTH, WA, August 29, 2024 – The City of Leavenworth is seeking volunteers to apply for Position No. 3 on the Design Review Board, a citizen advisory board, beginning in October 2024.
The Design Review Board is a volunteer board that maintains and furthers Leavenworth’s aesthetic and economic well-being through the Old-World Bavarian Alpine Theme. Board members volunteer their time and expertise to further our unique tourist community. Serving on the board requires members to know the Old-World Bavarian Alpine theme and/or demonstration of the following:
- Travel throughout the Alpine region of Bavaria;
- Working or living in the Alpine region of Bavaria;
- A fundamental knowledge of Old-World Bavarian Alpine architecture through the design or building of Old-World Bavarian Alpine-style structures; and
- A fundamental knowledge of Old-World Bavarian design elements such as color, window treatment, murals, overhangs, and building materials; and the ability to differentiate between regional design elements.
The position will serve the remainder of a four-year term (ending December 2026).
Interested parties who meet the qualifications are invited to submit a letter of interest via email, mail, or in person by 4:00 p.m. on September 18, 2024. Letters of interest shall be submitted to:
