Chelan County Commissioner Bob Bugert is hosting two community meetings in the Upper Valley to update residents in the Leavenworth and Plain areas on timely issues impacting those communities. Mayor Carl Florea will be hosting the Leavenworth meeting with Commissioner Bugert.

The community meetings scheduled are:

Leavenworth
When: Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Where: Barn Beach Reserve, 347 Division St., Leavenworth WA 98826, and also on Zoom details are available online

Plain
When: Friday, April 1, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Where: Beaver Valley Lodge, 18630 Beaver Valley Road, Plain, WA 98826, and also on Zoom details are available online

Bugert will be joined at the meetings by a variety of county representatives, and Mayor Florea will co-host the meeting in Leavenworth.

At the Leavenworth meeting, Chelan County Natural Resources will solicit input on two ongoing projects:

  • Leavenworth-area tubing study
  • Wenatchee River Whitewater Park

The department also will give an update on the Chelan County Multimodal Pathways Plan. Community Development will provide an update on short-term rentals and Public Works will talk about the upcoming Cascade Orchard Bridge deck project.

At the Plain Meeting, Natural Resources will discuss the Nason Ridge Community Forest project and the Multimodal Pathways Plan.

Commissioner Bugert will talk about an upcoming inventory of recreation access areas and Community Development also will give a short-term rental update.

Bugert, who represents District 2 for Chelan County, meets quarterly with the Upper Valley community to discuss updates on county projects and issues and to answer questions from the public.
