 WEST STREET

MINE STREET TO SKI HILL DRIVE

May 8, 2014
The City of Leavenworth has contracted with Pipkin Construction for the Citywide Improvement and Preservation Project (West Street Sidewalk – Safe Routes to School project, Commercial St – 9th to Division St pavement preservation project, and the Ski Hill Drive pavement preservation completion project.) The Citywide Improvement Project commenced on Monday the 5th of May.
The City expects that work will begin in your area, West Street,  on May 12, 2014.
The sidewalk work will include demolition, relocating of mailboxes, installation of stormwater, adjusting water meter boxes, addressing driveway access issues, and sidewalk installations. The power poles along West Street were relocated by Chelan County PUD last summer. The City anticipates that following completion of the sidewalk work a pavement improvement project will be completed on West Street later this summer.
We regret any disruption in traffic flow in your area as work begins and progresses. The Contractor will make all reasonable concessions to minimize disruptions of ingress/egress to your property. The construction crews will be working 4 ten hour days, Monday through Thursday. Completion for this phase of the project is expected to be mid-June.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support. Please contact TERRY GILDERSLEEVE at 548-5275 for any additional information or assistance.
