Construction begins in Summer 2026!
The City of Leavenworth will be constructing sidewalks along the west side of Ski Hill Drive as part of a grant-funded sidewalk improvement program. Construction is scheduled for next summer (2026) and will occur between Evans Street and Pine Street.
This project will focus on filling in sidewalk “gaps.” If your property currently does not have sidewalk frontage, a new segment will be constructed. Additionally, all curb ramps at intersections will be evaluated to ensure they meet current ADA standards. Where needed, new curb ramps will be built.
In addition to providing a safe and accessible pedestrian route along this section of Ski Hill Drive, utility service lines will be replaced, on-street parking will be removed, and a new southbound bicycle lane will be installed.
- Timeline: Construction is anticipated to occur during the summer of 2026.
- Location: Ski Hill Drive, from Evans Street to Pine Street.
- Impacts: There may be changes to traffic patterns, noise levels, and driveway access during construction.
