Rock scaling work on US 2 east of Leavenworth will cause delays this week
LEAVENWORTH– Rock scaling work on a slope east of Leavenworth will require lane and shoulder closures of US 2 and cause delays Tuesday and Wednesday.
A contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation will perform rock scaling at the site of last week’s mudslide at milepost 102. Working hours will be 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. This work will require the closure of the roadway for twenty minutes at a time. Travelers between Leavenworth and Wenatchee should plan for delays and longer than normal travel times during working hours.
