Rock scaling work on US 2 east of Leavenworth delayed due to weather
LEAVENWORTH – Severe winter weather throughout the region has forced the delay of the scheduled rock scaling work on the slope east of Leavenworth. Tuesday’s work has been delayed, and the project is now planned for Wednesday and Thursday.
A contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation will perform scaling work 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday as conditions allow. Traffic control to complete this project will require delays of 20 minutes. Travelers between Leavenworth and Wenatchee should plan longer than normal travel times during working hours.
Updates will be shared on the travel alert page, and on Twitter @WSDOT_East.
