The Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest is proposing to conduct forest and aquatic restoration work in the Lower Chiwawa, Big Meadow, Lake Wenatchee, and Beaver Creek-Wenatchee River subwatersheds. The Upper Wenatchee Pilot Project includes approximately 60,000 acres of National Forest lands within the watersheds mentioned above, about 10 miles north of Leavenworth, WA, within the greater Lake Wenatchee area. The project proposals seek to integrate aquatic and terrestrial restoration actions, with human uses and values in the project area and across the watershed.
