Passing and Remembrance of Sgt. Leandro Jasso

The City of Leavenworth wishes to offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Sgt. Leandro Jasso who was killed on Saturday November 24, 2018 while fighting in Afghanistan. Sgt. Jasso grew up in Leavenworth, WA and attended Cascade High School where he graduated in 2012. He was 25 years old and assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord. In honor of Sgt. Jasso’s service, the City Hall flag, by the decree of Mayor Cheryl K. Farivar, will be flown at half-staff for five days and his name will be placed on the City’s “Veterans Memorial Plaque” located at City Hall.
