OPEN POSITIONS ON CITIZEN ADVISORY BOARDS: LETTERS OF INTEREST BEING ACCEPTED
LEAVENWORTH, WA, October 30, 2023 – The City of Leavenworth is now seeking volunteers to apply for several open positions on its citizens advisory boards beginning in January 2024.
Housing Advisory Committee – In March 2023, theCity Council Housing Committee recommended forming a new, more diverse Housing Advisory Committee to represent the community. The committee will consist of nine (9) total positions. Two (2) of the positions will be filled by City Councilmembers. The remaining positions will be filled by community members who either live in or own/manage a business within City limits or Urban Growth Area (UGA). The City is looking for a healthy mix of residents, business owners/managers, developers/builders, non-profit organization leaders, real estate professionals, and minority representatives.
Parking Advisory Committee – The City is looking to fill one (1) position on the Parking Advisory Committee. A potential committee member must be a resident within City limits and have lived within the community for at least one (1) year.
Interested parties who meet the qualifications are invited to submit a letter of interest to Andrea Fischer, City Clerk, via email, mail, or in-person by 4:00 p.m. on November 30, 2023.
