NOTICE

Changes to the Planned Development District regulations go into effect today, September 23, 2019.  The purpose of a Planned Development District is to encourage innovative developments that provide a public benefit and developer flexibility. Planned Developments are required to retain the primary use and the maximum height of the underlaying zoning district but may increase residential density, alter lot sizes and setbacks and may include a 10% commercial component in a residential area. Under the revised regulations, a Planned Development may be proposed on lots 24,000 square feet or greater (or 6,000 square feet or greater for affordable housing). Larger projects would be required to include an open space component. A full copy of the Ordinance 1588 may be viewed at City Hall or requested.
