NOTICE
The City of Leavenworth has completed mandatory updates to the City’s development and critical area code requirements. These changes are effective today, October 7, 2019. A full copy of the Ordinances 1596 and 1597 may be viewed at City Hall or requested.
The mandatory updates are required to be completed every eight years with the Comprehensive Plan update, per the Growth Management Act. The State provided the City of Leavenworth, and other smaller cities, the opportunity to extend the completion date by two years. The City completed the update of the Comprehensive Plan in 2017 and the code amendments in 2019. With this work completed, the City is in compliance with the Growth Management Act and therefore eligible to request for various grants.
