Historically, the pool has opened on or around Memorial Day weekend. Due to urgent liner repairs needed at the Howard Hopkins Memorial Pool, it is anticipated that opening day will be delayed this year.
The liner at the zero-depth entry and various locations throughout the pool is failing. In addition to the approximate lead time for materials, the necessary pool liner repairs will require long curing times which is the primary cause for a delayed opening this year.
At this time, we do not have an estimated opening date. Updates will be available on the City’s website at cityofleavenworth.com/community/pool.
