Here’s where to park in downtown Leavenworth using your disabled parking placard, plate, decal, or tab:

You CAN park for FREE:

>> On a city street in any regular parking space.
o This does not apply to parking spaces reserved for special types of vehicles or uses (i.e., medical staff, fire lanes, loading zones, etc.), restricted areas (i.e., no parking zones), and private streets.

>> In a city-owned parking lot in designated disabled parking spaces, only.
o This does not apply to privately owned parking lots.

>> In any specially designated disabled parking space.
o Van-accessible spaces are designed for use by wheelchair vans. Use them only if you drive a wheelchair van or no other disabled parking spaces are available.

>> In any public transit park-and-ride lot.

You CAN NOT park in zones or areas:

>> Where stopping, parking, or standing of all vehicles is prohibited.

>> Reserved for special types of vehicles or uses (i.e., permit stalls, fire lanes, loading zones, etc.). Vehicles with a valid disabled placard or license plate must comply with on-street and parking lot limitations as stated on signs (i.e., winter street regulations, no overnight parking or camping).
