Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Leavenworth City Clerk until 2:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014 for the West Street Paving Project.
The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:
The work includes providing, compacting, and finish-grading a layer of crushed surfacing base course, applying tack to the existing curbing, asphalt sawcuts, and driveway tie-ins and providing and compacting a layer of hot mix asphalt with hot mix asphalt curbing and driveway tie-ins on the north side only and providing density testing services.

Bids must be completed as per BID PROPOSAL required. Bid will be award based on total cost and the planned work date, priority given to companies able to complete this work on or before October 10, 2014. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Leavenworth in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid.
No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.
