Pine Street Phase 1: Ski Hill Drive to Titus Road
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Leavenworth City Clerk until 2:00 PM on May 15, 2019, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Leavenworth City Hall.
Bid proposals may be sent by mail, or hand delivered, to the City Clerk at City of Leavenworth, City Hall, PO Box 287 / 700 Hwy 2, Leavenworth, WA 98826, prior to the opening. The envelope shall be plainly marked with “SEALED BID for the City of Leavenworth – Pine Street Phase 1: Ski Hill Drive to Titus Road” and shall clearly indicate the name and address of the bidder. The bid opening will take place at the City of Leavenworth, City Hall, 700 Hwy 2, Leavenworth, WA 98826. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.
The improvements for which bid will be received are generally described below:
Includes approximately 5 SY of sidewalk removal, 119 LF of curb removal, 4,106 CY of roadway excavation, 3,601 T of borrow, 527 CY of embankment compaction, 1,392 SY of pavement planing, 4,325 T of crushed surfacing materials, 9,474 SY of hot-mixed asphalt paving, 3,823 LF of curb and gutter, 1,035 SY of sidewalk, 488 SY of driveway entrance, 33 EA curb ramps, 17 EA catch basins, 1,841 LF of storm sewer line, 740 LF of water line, School Zone Signing System, Illumination System, and related miscellaneous items such as utility relocations, utility adjustments, pavement markings, signing, seeding, erosion control, traffic control, and surveying.
Bids must be completed on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the BID PROPOSAL, and the total price shall be used for comparison of bids. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the same time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Leavenworth.
The City of Leavenworth in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that is will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
Plans, specifications, addenda, bidders list, and plan holders list for this project will be available April 24, 2019 from Builders Exchange Online Plan Center. Bidders are encouraged to receive automatic email notifications of future addenda and to be placed on the Bidders List. This online plan center provides Bidders with fully usable online documents, with the ability to download, print, and order full or partial plan sets. Contract documents are also on file for inspection at the City of Leavenworth, City Hall, 700 Highway 2, Leavenworth, WA, and area plan centers.
