CITY OF LEAVENWORTH
POSITION TITLE: Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist
REPORTS TO: Finance Director
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
FLSA STATUS: Full-time, non-exempt
SALARY RANGE: $5,314 – $6,532 per month
BENEFITS: The City of Leavenworth offers excellent benefits, including a 100% employer-paid, family medical/dental/vision plan premium; $255 employer HRA contribution per month; 1 day each of vacation
and sick leave per month; 11.5 holidays plus 2 floating holidays per year; a DRS retirement plan, and comp time/overtime accrual.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is primarily responsible for performing accounts payable and other clerical, technical, and administrative support functions. The position acts as a liaison between the City and stakeholders to respond to questions and provide information the Upper Valley Park & Recreation Service Area (PRSA) Board and Board initiatives. Responsible for ordering city office supplies, processing accounts payable, receivables, contract billing, and related excise tax and 1099 reports for the City, as well as seasonal support to the pool operations for cash reconciliations and purchasing. Assist with front desk, reception, and customer service duties.
A pre-employment background check screening is required for this position. This position requires a valid Washington State driver’s license on the date of hire, with a driving record acceptable to the City.
