POSITION TITLE: Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Public Works Director
DEPARTMENT: Public Works
DIVISION: Wastewater
FLSA STATUS: Full-time, non-exempt
SALARY RANGE: $6,412 – $7,221 per month
BENEFITS: The City of Leavenworth offers excellent benefits including a 100% employer-paid, family medical/dental/vision plan premium; $80 employer HRA contribution per month; 1 day each of vacation
and sick leave per month; 11.5 holidays plus 2 floating holidays per year; a DRS retirement plan, and comp time/overtime accrual.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The City of Leavenworth, an equal opportunity employer, is seeking a qualified individual with strong technical skills and experience in wastewater treatment operations. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor plans, directs, and supervises the operations and maintenance of the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, and all city lift stations. This individual will plan, coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of the Wastewater Division; provide technical staff assistance, and training and perform related work as required; and, in coordination with others, plan and recommend long-range capital improvements for the facility.
The following pre-employment screenings are required for this position drug/alcohol screening, background check, and a physical evaluation. This position requires a valid Washington State driver’s license on the date of hire; a current certification as a Washington State Wastewater Treatment Plant Group II Operator; a valid Washington State Class B Unrestricted Commercial Driver’s license (CDL); and a driving record free of significant moving violations. Within six (6) months of employment start date certification as a Washington State Wastewater Treatment Plant Group III Operator and a Tank Vehicle Endorsement is required. A Group III Operator certification shall be maintained throughout employment. Please note that this position requires a CDL, and individuals will be subject to applicable federal regulations, including random drug testing.
