POSITION TITLE: UTILITY MAINTENANCE WORKER (Weekends Required)
REPORTS TO: PUBLIC WORKS FIELD SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, non-exempt, union position
SALARY RANGE: $4,831 – $5,440 per month
BENEFITS: Year-round benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, HRA, comp/overtime, vacation/sick/holiday time, and retirement package
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under direction from the Public Works Field Supervisor, the Utility Maintenance Worker performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in streets and building maintenance work, and operates equipment in the garbage collection, construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, wastewater, street, streetlight, sidewalk, right-of-way and storm drainage facilities and systems. Although generally this position provides no direct supervision on a regular basis, the position may provide technical or informational guidance on a project basis.
A Class B WA state commercial driver’s license (CDL) with record that is acceptable to the City is required; see full job description for additional requirements. Individual must be able to work weekends, holidays, and required overtime. This position will require a drug and alcohol test.
