Job Description Overview

CITY OF LEAVENWORTH

POSITION TITLE: PARKS/UTILITY MAINTENANCE WORKER (Weekends Required)

REPORTS TO: PARKS DIVISION SUPERVISOR

DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS

POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

SALARY RANGE: (Class B CDL) $4,831 – $5,440 per month; (Non-CDL) $3,865 – $4,352 per month

BENEFITS: Year-round benefits including 100% premium covered medical/dental/vision insurance, $70 employee contribution to an HRA, comp/overtime, 8 hours per month of vacation and sick leave, 11.5 holidays, 2 floating holidays, and PERS retirement package.

POSITION SUMMARIES:

Parks/Utility Maintenance Worker (Class B CDL Required):

Under direction from the Parks Supervisor this position is involved in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City’s parks grounds, facilities, restrooms, and landscaped areas within City rights-of-way. The Parks/Utility Maintenance Worker profile does not include all essential tasks, all nonessential tasks, and/or all responsibilities of the position. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform all essential functions satisfactorily when assigned.

Park Maintenance Laborer (Non-CDL):

Under direction from the Parks Supervisor this position is involved in the construction, maintenance and repair of the City’s parks grounds, facilities, restrooms, and landscaped areas within City rights-of-way. The Parks Maintenance laborer profile does not include all essential tasks, all nonessential tasks, and/or all responsibilities of the position. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform all essential functions satisfactorily when assigned.
