In light of the recent AFR (accidental fecal release) incident, the following closures will occur:
– – Thur., Jul 18: Pool to remain CLOSED for the rest of the day; tonight’s Swim Meet is CANCELED
– – Fri., Jul 19: Pool CLOSED all day; all swim lessons and programs are CANCELED
– – Sat, Jul 20: Pool to OPEN at noon until 6 pm (fingers crossed); opening time/date are subject to change
While inconvenient, the pool closure is necessary for proper disinfection and protection of the health and safety of swimmers. Closing the pool allows the chemical treatment time to do its job—remove germs and help prevent Recreational Water Illnesses (RWIs).
