The City of Leavenworth, an equal opportunity employer, is now accepting applications for a Parks/Utility Maintenance Worker with year-round benefits and retirement package.  This position is a union covered position with a one-year probationary pay starting at $3,294/month and increasing to $3,875/month thereafter. Requirements include having a WA state driver’s license with record that is acceptable to the City; see full job description for additional requirements. Individual must be able to work weekends, holidays, and required overtime.  Duties include:  landscape and turf maintenance, building and restroom maintenance, litter control, irrigation maintenance, operation of light and/or special use equipment, (athletic field and turf maintenance equipment), and cemetery maintenance. This individual will be assigned to snow removal responsibilities and equipment operation when necessary and other duties as assigned. This position will be included in the City’s random drug and alcohol testing program for all licensed Commercial Vehicle Operators employed by the City. This position is a union covered position and salary range is reflected within the current union contract. All new employees are required to complete a 6 month trial period.
