Carolyn Wilson was born and raised in California. She moved to Leavenworth in 1997 to be close to her daughter and her family. She also served a previous term on City Council from 2002 until 2006.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Earth Science from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Master’s Degree from the University of California, Davis.

She is a former Jr. High School and High School Teacher and Coach. Carolyn was also in law enforcement for many years. She was a City Police Officer, and also a federally-sworn Tribal Police Officer on the Miwuk Reservation in California, where she obtained the rank of Sergeant.

Carolyn has appeared in seven Leavenworth Summer Theater productions, and has served on the boards of the Upper Valley Museum, Chelan-Douglas Health District, Leavenworth Jr. Miss, Art in the Park, and Ski Hill Heritage Foundation. She has been a volunteer for Accordion Fest, Fasching, and MaiFest. She is a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, and worked in the past with Orphan’s Hope ministry.

Her hobbies include writing short stories and she is an acrylic artist. And if life permitted it, she would spend everyday on the golf course.

Committee Membership: Parks, Housing, Public Safety, Festhalle Oversight, and Leavenworth Golf Club.
