Hearing Examiner
The Hearing Examiner for the City of Leavenworth will hold a Public Hearing (ZOOM ONLY) to consider and make decisions on the following applications:
LUA2023-041: A Conditional Use Permit, submitted by the Wenatchee River Institute on August 15, 2023 and determined complete September 12, 2023, requesting continued use of the existing house and grounds for an educational center, WRI staff housing and lease for Mountain Sprouts outdoor preschool program – The Willow. The project is located at 250 12th Street, within the Recreation zoning district; Assessor’s parcel number 241712676145.
LUA2023-036: A Conditional Use Permit, submitted by Sarah Meadows (owner) on August 18, 2023 and determined complete on September 14, 2023, requesting to operate a two-bedroom bed and breakfast (B&B) within the furnished basement of the Main Dwelling Unit. The project is located at 1133 Commercial Street, within the Multi-Family Residential zoning district; Assessor’s parcel number 241712676135.
LUA2023-034: A Conditional Use Permit, submitted by Aaron Scott (owner) on July 7, 2023 and determined complete on September 8, 2023, requesting to operate a two-bedroom bed and breakfast (B&B) within the Main Dwelling Unit. The project is located at 233 West Commercial Street, within the Residential Low-Density 6,000 (RL6) zoning district; Assessor’s parcel number 241711410100.
LUA2023-038: A Conditional Use Permit, submitted by Charles Cubine (owner) on August 29, 2023 and determined complete on September 8, 2023, requesting to operate a studio bed and breakfast (B&B) within an existing Accessory Dwelling Unit. The project is located at 216 Pine Street, within the Residential Low-Density 6,000 (RL6) zoning district; Assessor’s parcel number 241701772210.
LUA2023-032: A Variance, submitted by Repnik on July 10, 2023 and determined complete on August 7, 2023, requesting deviation from Leavenworth Municipal Code Section 18.36.035 which states “accessory dwelling unit must be connected to the water and sewer utilities of the city, and shall have separate services for any accessory dwelling unit greater than 900 square feet in area.” The project is located at 119 Birdhouse Lane, with in the Residential Low-Density 6,000 (RL6) zoning district; Assessor’s Parcel Number 241711840060.
