Notice is hereby given that the City of Leavenworth, Washington, pursuant to RCW 39.80, is seeking qualified consultants to perform a detailed analysis of the potential areas for future growth of the Leavenworth Urban Growth Area.

Request Question & Answer
Q: Is there a separate land capacity analysis being done, perhaps by Chelan County?
A: The County is not doing a separate land capacity at this time. Our goal is to get several recommendations on UGA expansion locations and then look at how those fit with the County. We know that a Countywide updated will be needed if the City chooses to expand the UGA.
Q: What is the current status of the city’s water rights for new growth? Can you point me in the right direction to find information related to that?
A: The City is in mitigation over water rights working with the Icicle Water Rights User Group to identify water strategies. The City currently serves water to a larger region than our UGA and we have enough water rights to serve growth over the next 50 years.
