City of Leavenworth Public Meetings Postponed or Suspended
On Feb 29, 2020, Governor Inslee issued Proclamation 20-05, proclaiming a State of Emergency for all counties throughout the State of Washington as a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in the United States and confirmed person-to-person spread of COVID-19 in Washington State. The City of Leavenworth wishes to be proactive in limiting non-essential gatherings of people.
In response to recent recommendations from state and local health officials over COVID-19 concerns, the City of Leavenworth regrets to inform the public that all City meetings deemed non-essential, excluding City Council and Study Session meetings, have either been postponed or suspended until further notice:

Governing Body Meetings
City Council and Study Session Meetings being held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
The Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA) permits members of the public to attend governing body meetings. RCW 42.30.030. The City of Leavenworth cannot place conditions on attendance. RCW 42.30.040. While the City of Leavenworth encourages public participation at City Council meetings, City Officials would encourage the public to carefully consider all of your options, in order to minimize the risk of spread of COVID-19.
City Council Meeting Agendas with supplemental information are available for the public’s review by 5:00 PM on Friday preceding the Tuesday meeting/s. The public is welcome to contact City Hall staff for more information, if necessary.
Public comment is encouraged with regard to agenda items and public hearings. In lieu of attending a meeting, members of the public who wish to provide comment may do so by delivering by hand, mail, or email to Executive Assistant Sue Cragun scragun@cityofleavenworth.com. All comments must include your full name; public hearing comments must include your full name and address in order to be included within the public record.

NOTICE OF HOUSING WORKSHOP
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leavenworth Planning Commission will hold a public Housing Workshop March 26, 2020 at 6:30 PM in the Cascade High School, 10190 Chumstick Hwy, Leavenworth, Washington. The intent of this workshop is to review housing in Leavenworth – Where we have been? Where we are? Where we are heading?
The Planning Commission is seeking public discussion on housing options and needs for the community. All comments will provide direction and information to the Planning Commission and may be considered with the upcoming Housing Action Plan. Park / Cemetery Maintenance Worker – Part Time Seasonal Position
The City of Leavenworth, an equal opportunity employer, is now accepting applications for the following position: Two (2) vacancies for a Seasonal Parks / Cemetery Worker – maximum of 24 Hours per week position. This position is a non-union covered position with a starting pay of $13.50 – $17.00 / hr. DOE.
Requirements: Minimum 18 years of age and WA State driver’s license with record acceptable to the City; position will require a pre-employment physical evaluation. Individual must be able to work weekends, holidays, and required overtime. Duties include: Landscape and turf maintenance, building and restroom maintenance, litter control, irrigation maintenance, operation of light and/or special use equipment (ball field and turf maintenance equipment), and cemetery maintenance.
