City of Leavenworth Fall Clean-up »

Fall Clean-up 2014         

Leavenworth’s annual fall clean-up for Single – Family residents will take place this year during October 14th – November 13th.  We are asking all residents on corner lots with street intersections to prune trees for better visibility.  Leaves, pine needles, and other yard debris is to be put into plastic garbage bags, no larger than 35 gallon size, not to exceed 35 pounds, and no more than 4 bags on any regularly scheduled garbage day.  Limbs must be cut into 4 foot or shorter in length and tied in bundles. The yard debris should be out next to your regular garbage and will be picked up at the same time. There will be no extra charge for the pickup of the first 4 bags of yard waste; additional bags will be charged $3.50 per bag.  Please remember outside burning in no longer allowed.

NO furniture, appliances, dirt, rocks, or building debris will be picked up.

The Leavenworth recycling center that is located at 216 14th Street is also available. The hours of operation are Wednesdays from 4:30pm -6:30pm and Saturdays from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  This service is reserved for residence within City limits only.

Friends of the Library Book Sale »

Leavenworth Friends of the Library will host their annual used book sale September 26th – October 5th.

Call for Bids – West Street Paving Project »

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Leavenworth City Clerk until 2:00 PM on Friday, September 19, 2014 for the West Street Paving Project.

The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:

The work includes providing, compacting, and finish-grading a layer of crushed surfacing base course, applying tack to the existing curbing, asphalt sawcuts, and driveway tie-ins and providing and compacting a layer of hot mix asphalt with hot mix asphalt curbing and driveway tie-ins on the north side only and providing density testing services.

The following documents related to this project are available for your review:

Bids must be completed as per BID PROPOSAL required. Bid will be award based on total cost and the planned work date, priority given to companies able to complete this work on or before October 10, 2014. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond (with authorized surety company as surety) made payable to the City of Leavenworth in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid.

No bidder may withdraw their bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.

Annual Objective & Project Tracker »

The City of Leavenworth uses an Annual Objective & Project Tracking document which lists much of the work that is being completed, or tasks that are underway; it does reflect many of the City projects and tasks that have been directed by the City Council. Each project includes some annotations of status or description, anticipated completion, and stage (progress level). This is intended to relay progress and ensure that the City is on target with the needs of the community and Council priorities. This document is updated quarterly and will be posted for your review. Chelan County Household Hazardous Waste Event »
