Sergeant Bruce Long

Sergeant Bruce Long

Sergeant Bruce Long of the Chelan County Sheriff’s Department has been assigned as the City of Leavenworth Liaison Officer. Sergeant Long is a familiar face to local residents and businesses as he has been in charge of the Upper Valley Deputy Patrol for many years and makes his home in the Leavenworth Community. Sergeant Long’s primary responsibility is focused on providing community law enforcement within the City municipal boundaries. For non-emergency questions and incidents, Sergeant Long can be contacted via the Leavenworth City Hall, either by phone (509) 548-5275 or through the mail. Emergency incidents and request for response should still be through the 911 emergency service number.

In negotiating a new service contract for Police Services with Chelan County in 2013, the City Council felt it was important to have the Sheriff’s Department provide a more local community orientated police service model, Sergeant long is the new face of that improved service level.

Pacific SecurityPacific Security

The City of Leavenworth contracted with Pacific Security beginning in the Fall of 2012 to act as an additional police presence on patrol throughout downtown Leavenworth. Since that time, the City has expanded the roll of the Pacific Security Officers to include patrols in the residential areas, the city parks, local schools, and as parking enforcement in the City’s paid parking lots.
