Autumn Leaf Festival & Parade – Saturday 9/29/2018 – Street Closures / Detour »

The Autumn Leaf Festival is taking place this weekend in Leavenworth. There will be some street closures throughout town on Saturday, September 29th, so plan your travels accordingly:

West bound Highway 2 will be closed at Chumstick Highway from 11:30 – 2:00 PM. You may detour through town via East Leavenworth Road to Icicle Road during that time. If you do not detour, you will be forced to turn on Chumstick Highway north.

East bound Highway 2 will be closed at Icicle Road from 11:30 – 2:00 PM. You must detour around town via Icicle Road to East Leavenworth Road during that time.

Front Street will be closed during the Parade from 14th Street to Highway 2. Once the Parade is over at 2:00 PM, Front Street will reopen from 14th Street to 9th Street and remain closed from 9th Street to Hwy 2. 8th Street downtown will also be closed from Front Street to Commercial Street on Saturday and Sunday.

Check the attached map to review the parade route. All side streets throughout town will be barricaded during the parade, 11:30 – 2:00.

Leavenworth Adventure Park

The City of Leavenworth was notified on September 19, 2018 by the Leavenworth Adventure Park development team that they are withdrawing their application for a Conditional Use Permit for the Leavenworth Adventure Park. President, D. R. Moffett & Associates, Inc., Mr. David Moffett stated after reviewing the public and agency comments, they are formally withdrawing their application for a Conditional Use Permit for the Leavenworth Adventure Park and noted they will be resubmitting their application and supporting documents at a future date.
